BobSec is seeking a dedicated Security Analyst to join our team and contribute to the protection of our information assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and be proficient in various programming languages and tools essential for analyzing and securing systems. As a Security Analyst at BobSec, you'll be tasked with monitoring security access, conducting security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis, performing internal and external security audits, and analyzing security breaches to identify the root cause. You'll work closely with the IT department to safeguard information, ensure compliance with standards and law, and implement protective measures. Your critical thinking and problem-solving skills will be vital as you develop company-wide best practices for IT security. Furthermore, you'll play an integral role in incident response, including monitoring and detecting security incidents, managing any potential impact, and executing response plans. You will also need to communicate complex concepts to a variety of audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders. Continuous education and staying up-to-date with the latest security systems, practices, and trends will be essential for this position. The candidate must have at least three years of experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate expertise in Python, SQL, Linux, Wireshark, Nmap, Snort, SIEM technologies, and incident response procedures. Knowledge in cryptography and robust critical thinking skills are also required. This mid-level, full-time position is open to all candidates regardless of location, and while it is not remote, BobSec prides itself on offering flexible working arrangements where possible.
